Seven Layer Ground Beef Casserole

Seven Layer Casserole

Описание:

This was very good but Scott said, "where's the beef?" HA! Consider adding more turkey/hamburger to this dish.
Also, Christmas is sneaking up on us and I realize that most of you prefer the cooking videos, however, I am going to probably be loading five consecutive videos that are craft related. I may stick a dessert in between them to break the monotony. Continue checking description boxes for giveaways. Someone mentioned, "you should give away the ornaments you are making." Well, two have gone out already. I've done one on the "Bulletins" you send out via YT and one on Facebook. Keep watching for more stuff to be sent out! 1 cup uncooked rice 1 cup whole kernel corn, drained dash salt and pepper 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce and 1/2 can water 1 chopped onion 1 chopped green bell pepper 3/4 to 1 pound extra lean ground beef 3 strips bacon

Arrange the ingredients except bacon in layers in order given. Lay bacon strips on top; cover. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour, then uncover and continue baking for 30 minutes.

CookingAndCrafting пишет: @lacytexeira When mom cooks or bakes, she NEVER cleans it right away. Thus, I have to replace the ring at least 1-2x a year. If I clean it (even while still hot--stove), it stays nice. The bottom of the stove I finally had to put down one of those thingamajiggies in there... you can find them at Walmart for about $10-12 or something? It is oven proof, obviously, but you can take it out and clean off spills easily. Mom tends to have spills t(not her fault, just not strong enough)

CookingAndCrafting пишет: @mrspamelawilson I've been keeping an eye out lately on view counts to see if people care for the crafts, etc. It just seems like a lot of people are doing Christmas shopping or spending time with families, etc., and not really watching (except all you die hard watchers that I love haha) and so I was afraid at first of piling on crafts but I think I'll just do it. I still have three more ornaments to do. Yikes

Gigi's dish is gorgeous. I have a large Le Creuset pot for chili, stews, soup and such and I love it. I've had it 35 years - it is marked up a bit, but works perfectly!

1 cup uncooked rice
1 cup cooked or canned whole kernel corn
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups (15-ounce can) tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup cooked or canned green beans
3/4 pound ground beef
4 slices bacon, cut up

Procedures : Put rice and corn in baking pan or dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Mix tomato sauce and water. Pour half over corn and rice. Add layers of onion, green pepper, green beans, and beef. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add rest of tomato mixture, top with bacon. Cover tightly.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Uncover; cook 30 minutes more.
