You'll Need:

# 8 oz. (225g) onions
# 6 oz. (150g) fresh breadcrumbs
# 1 pint (500ml) milk
# 3 eggs
# salt and pepper
# chopped parsley
# cayenne pepper
# 4 oz. (125g) grated cheese

Procedures : # Pre-heat oven to 350F, Gas Mark 4, 180C
# Peel and slice the onions thinly and cook slowly in the milk until just tender
# Remove from the heat, add the breadcrumbs, beaten eggs and most of the cheese
# Season with salt , pepper and a little cayenne pepper
# Turn into a greased ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for about 20 minutes in the pre-heated ove

Raw "Unfried" Onion Rings

In partnership with http://www.FaveDiets.com I am pleased to present this video on how to make raw, unfried, gluten-free onion rings. For more free healthy recipes, cooking tips and tutorials go to http://www.favediets.com/Appetizers.
Slice 2 large sweet onions into rings. (To slice onions without crying or tearing, dip your knife in clean water, and dip the onion in water, as well. This has always worked. I only need to dip it once, but some say to keep the bowl of water handy and dip continuously, after every slice.)

Soak in 4 T. Bragg's Amino Acids or Nama Shoyu and
4 T. olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
overnight.
OR
1 c. almond milk

Dip onions into sauce above, and then into batter:
Batter:
1 c. golden flax seed
1 c. almond meal (Blend 1 c. almonds in food processor about 5 minutes, until a crumbly meal.)
1-2 cloves garlic
juice 1-2 lemons
1 T. Paprika
1/2 tsp. chipotle
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Blend batter in a food processor until it is thick, like pancake batter. Dip the onions in the sauce, then the batter, and dehydrate at 105 degrees for 12-24 hours until desired crispness.

Tangy Dipping Sauce-
Soak:
1 c. pinenuts for 12 hours. Drain and let sit (sprout) for 12 hours. Blend with:
2 T. lemon juice
1/2 c. sundried tomatoes, soaked
1/2 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. sea salt, to taste
a couple drops Tobasco - optional

You'll Need:

# half an ounce (12g) cornflour
# quarter pint (125ml) milk
# 1 oz. (25g) cheese, grated
# salt and pepper
# 1 oz. (25g) butter
# 1 tablespoon of milk for the filling
# 2 eggs
# a little made mustard

Procedures : # Mix the cornflour with the quarter pint (125ml) of milk, put into a pan , bring to the boil and boil for one minute stirring all the time
# Add seasoning and when cooled a little add the egg yolks
# Beat the egg whites stiffly and fold into the mixture
# Heat half an ounce (12g) of butter in an omelet pan, pour in the mixture and cook until lightly browned on the under side, then brown the top under the grill
# Melt the cheese with the rest of the butter, a tablespoon of milk and seasoning
# Pour over the omelet, fold in half and serve at onc

Ingredients:

300 g dried penne pasta
Olive oil
1 onion, chopped finely
1 garlic clove, crushed
3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme
5 slices of bacon, cut into chunks
1 tsp crushed chillies
400 g tinned tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp caster sugar
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
2 large handfuls of grated cheddar
Salt
Pepper

Step 1: Cook Your Pasta
Preheat your oven to 200°c. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil and add your pasta. Cook to the instructions on the packet, and then drain. Return your pasta to the pan.

Step 2: Make The Tomato Sauce
Heat some oil in a large frying pan. Add you chopped onion, garlic and thyme to the pan, along with your sliced bacon. Move the ingredients around the pan to ensure they cook evenly. Once the bacon begins to crisp up, sprinkle over some crushed chillies and pour in your tinned tomatoes. Give everything a good mix. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle in one-and-a-half teaspoons of sugar. While the sauce is simmering, finely chop up your parsley and add it to your pan. Leave to simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 3: Combine The Sauce And Pasta
Pour your tomato sauce over your drained pasta and mix well to ensure all the pasta gets coated. Pour the mixture into your dish and then top with grated cheese. Cook for 10-15 minutes until all of the cheese has melted and has begun to turn golden brown. Serve on its own or with a side salad.
You'll Need:

# 8 oz.(225g) tomatoes, peeled and sliced
# 4 oz. (100g) cooked spaghetti
# 3 oz. (75g) grated cheese
# half a pint of white sauce (See Hookery Cookery Healthy Eating section)
# 1 egg
# salt and pepper
# pinch of tarragon
# pinch of sugar

Procedures : # Place half the tomatoes in a greased ovenproof dish
# Add salt and pepper, a pinch of tarragon and a pinch of sugar
# Cover with half the spaghetti and half the cheese
# Repeat the layers finishing with cheese, reserving a little to sprinkle over the dish before baking
# Make up the white sauce, cool a little then add the beaten egg
# Pour the sauce over the top and sprinkle with remaining cheese
# Bake for about 25 minutes in a moderate oven (325F, Gas Mark 3, 170

# 1 oz. (25g) butter
# half a pint (250ml) milk
# 4 oz. (100g) grated cheese
# 12 oz. (340g) tin asparagus spears

Procedures : # Pre-heat oven to 425F, Gas Mark 7, 220C
# Sift 6 oz. (150g) flour with a pinch of salt
# Rub in the margarine and mix to make a stiff dough with cold water
# Use this pastry to line a 7 inch (18cm) flan dish
# Trim the edges and line the flan with a piece of greaseproof paper
# Fill with baking beans then bake in the pre-heated oven for 15 minutes
# Remove the beans and paper then return flan to oven and bake for 5 minutes
# Put the butter, remaining flour and milk into a pan
# Place over a gentle heat and whisk continuously until the sauce thickens and boils
# Reduce the heat and simmer for a further 2 minutes, whisking all the time
# Season to taste and stir in 3 oz. (75g) cheese
# Drain the asparagus spears and dry on kitchen paper, reserving 6-8 of the best ones for decoration
# Lay the remainder in the flan and pour over the cheese sauce
# Decorate with the reserved spears and sprinkle with the remaining cheese

This particular game was called Hot Potato. A bomb with a timer was placed in the middle of the field. Both teams needed to obtain the bomb and move it to the enemies base. When the timer went, the team who's base it was in lost. If the timer ran out while the bomb was in the field, the next base it touched lost.
You'll Need:

# 4 hard boiled eggs
# 8 oz. (225g) cooked potatoes
# half an ounce (12g) butter
# 1 egg yolk
# 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley
# half a level tespoon of salt
# quarter level teaspoon grated nutmeg
# 1 oz. (25g) grated cheese
# egg and breadcrumbs
# vegetable oil for deep frying
# a little flour for coating eggs

Procedures : # Mix the potatoes with the egg yolk and butter
# Add parsley, salt, nutmeg and cheese
# Divide into 4 portions and coat the hard boiled eggs
# Roll in flour, then coat with egg and breadcrumbs
# Deep-fry for 3-4 minutes or until crisp and golden

NO MEAT Vegetarian Meat Sauce

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 4

Ingredients:
100g (3.5oz.) Shimeji Mushrooms
100g (3.5oz.) Enoki Mushrooms
2 Shiitake mushrooms
50g (1.8oz.) minced carrot
50g (1.8oz.) minced onion
400g (14oz.) diced tomato can
1 tsp. grated garlic
1 tsp. grated ginger
2 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. Miso
salt and pepper
pasta (spaghetti or penne) of your choice
cashew parmesan cheese
parsley flakes

Directions:
1. Finely chop Shimeji, Enoki, and Shiitake mushrooms.
2. Heat olive oil in a pot, add the chopped mushrooms, minced carrot, and minced onion. Then cook until tender.
3. Add diced tomato. When it becomes to a boil, mix in grated garlic, grated ginger, and Miso. Then cover and cook for 10 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta of your choice.
5. When the meat sauce is done, season with salt and pepper if needed.
6. Serve the pasta in a dish, pour over the sauce, then sprinkle with cashew parmesan cheese and parsley flakes.

# Add the herbs, tomatoes and tomato puree, then bring to the boil and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.Season with soy sauce salt and pepper
# Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, then add a teaspoon of salt, oil and pasta
# Boil for about 10 minutes or until tender
# Drain and place on a warm dish and top with the sauc

# vegetable oil for deep frying

Procedures : # Place 4 oz. (100g) flour and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl
# Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the corn oil
# Gradually whisk the oil into the flour,adding water as the mixture thickens
# Cover and leave to stand overnight

# one and a half teaspoons of mild curry powder
# 1 clove of garlic, crushed
# 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
# 4 sticks of celery, chopped
# one and a quarter pints (700ml) boiling water

Procedures : # Gently heat the oil then fry the garlic, onion and curry powder for 5 minutes
# Add the celery and rice mix then fry for a further 2-3 minutes
# Add the water, bring to the boil, stirring twice

You'll Need:

# 1 lb. (450g) leeks, trimmed and sliced
# 4 sticks celery, trimmed and chopped
# 8 oz. (225g) carrots, sliced
# 4 oz. (100g) dried lasagne verde
# 8 oz. (225g) frozen broad beans
# half a pint (285 ml) milk
# half a pint (285 ml) vegetable stock
# one and a half ounces (40g) butter
# one and a half ounces (40g) plain flour
# 4 oz. (100g) mature Cheddar cheese, grated
# 12 oz. (350g) button mushrooms, sliced
# 12 oz. (350g) can sweetcorn, drained
# salt and ground black pepper
# 3 oz. (75g) mature Cheddar cheese, for topping

Procedures : # Pre-heat oven to 400F, Gas Mark 6, 200C
# Place the carrots, celery, leeks and broad beans in a large pan and cover with boiling water
# Cover, bring to the boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender
# Drain off the water, reserving half a pint (285 ml) for the sauce)
# Melt the butter in a pan then stir in flour and cook gently for 1 minute while stirring
# Gradually add the milk and vegetable stock, stirring continuously until the sauce comes to the boil and thickens
# Stir in the cheese, cooked vegetables, mushrooms and sweetcorn
# Season well and set aside
# Cook the lasagne according to packet instructions then drain and refresh in cold water to prevent over-cooking
# Layer lasagne in a shallow ovenproof dish alternating with the vegetable sauce, finishing with sauce
# Sprinkle with grated cheese as a topping and bake in the pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golde

BEER-BATTERED dipped MUSHROOMS fried until golden. The perfect Hors d'oeuvre for entertaining, an appetizer for sharing, or just a satisfying snack...YOU PICK!! Click on "Show more" below for recipe...

FRIED BEER-BATTERED MUSHROOMS (Makes 6-8 servings)

1 Pound small button MUSHROOMS, clean with dry paper towels
4 cups vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt, plus extra for seasoning fried mushrooms
1/8 teaspoon fresh black cracked pepper
1 cup beer, chilled
1 egg, separated

1. In medium mixing bowl...whisk flour, baking powder, chili powder, salt and black pepper together. In a small mixing bowl...whisk together egg yolk and beer.

2. Beat egg white until soft peaks form.

3. Heat oil in 3 quart Dutch oven or heavy sauce pan, over medium-heat, about 3-4 minutes or until 365 Degrees F.

4. Stir beer mixture into flour mixture, with fork, until just blended. Gently fold in egg white.

5. Dip mushrooms, one at a time, into batter. Remove, with fork, shaking off extra batter before adding to hot oil. Fry mushrooms in small batches, turning occasionally, until golden in color.

6. Remove fried mushrooms with slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot. Serve immediately.

TIPS: Serve with your favorite dipping(s).

# 3 tablespoons olive oil
# salt and freshly ground black pepper
# juice of one lemon
# 1 level teaspoon chives, finely chopped
# 2 level teaspoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Procedures : # Rinse, but do not peel, the mushrooms and dry on absorbent kitchen paper
# Slice the mushrooms very thinly and place in a serving dish
# Make a dressing with the lemon juice, oil and seasoning and pour over the mushrooms
# leave as long as possible and just before serving sprinkle with the parsley and chive
