Almond Twist Coffee Cake

Walnut Swirl Twist Coffee Cake








Описание:

Dough: 1 cup water room temperature, 1 beaten large egg, 4 cups bread flour, 3 Tablespoons dry milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 6 Tablespoons butter melted,1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast. Filling: 1 3/4 cups ground walnuts or your choice of nut, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 2 egg whites, 1 Tablespoon brandy or vanilla. Glaze: 1- 1 1/2 cups powder sugar, 1 cup hot water,1/2 cup maple syrup. Dough can be made by hand or bread maker (Dough ) cycle. Roll dough out to 24x16 rectangle , cut dough in half lengthwise, apply half of filling on each side. Leave one side 1/2 inch away from filing. Roll long edge jelly roll style. Close ends by pinching, braid the two rolls and seal. Form braids in circle.9 inch oiled spring pan. Bake at 400 30-35 minutes. Glaze cake while warm (Glaze is thin) Garnish with ground walnuts

You'll Need:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 (14 ounce) package nut muffin mix
1 can almond filling or paste
1/2 cup melted butter

Procedures : Pour pie filling into 8-inch square pan. Drop teaspoons of almond paste over pie filling. Spread out to cover. Shake muffin mix on top and drizzle melted butter over mix. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes.

This is very rich so will stretch with whipped cream or ice cream topping
