Apple & Grape Salad

Betty's Apple, Grape and Peanut Salad Recipe

Описание:

In this video, Betty shows how to make her original Apple Salad. It is very quick and easy to prepare and is a favorite in her family.

Ingredients:

2 coarsely chopped fresh red delicious apples (washed)
2 cups red seedless grapes (washed)
1 cup salted peanuts (no skins)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 oz. (1/8 cup) lemon juice
1/4 cup Splenda (or sugar)

Chop the apples, using a splash of lemon juice to keep apples from turning brown. Place the 2 chopped apples, 2 cups grapes, 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 oz. (1/8 cup) lemon juice and 1/2 cup Splenda in a large mixing bowl. Mix until all fruit is coated with the creamy dressing. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving. Dish the Apple Salad into serving bowls to serve. I think you will love this salad; it's healthy, too!

Betty's Kitchen пишет: Yes, it is great for keeping the heat in the kitchen down! I have never tried walnuts, but I think they would be wonderful! The thing my husband likes about the peanuts is that they are salted, and that blends with the sweet flavor of the dressing, making a super combination. But I'm in favor of walnuts, pecans, almonds, any of those! Thanks for bringing walnuts up for this salad!!!\r

Betty's Kitchen пишет: If you put watermellon in, it is very sweet, so I don't think you would need sugar. With only apple, I would add a little sugar--just until it tastes like you like it.\r

Betty's Kitchen пишет: You can always use a blender to liquify any desired fruits. Just put the amount of peeled apple and seeded watermelon in the blender, press "puree" or "liquify." It should be great!
