Butterscotch Apple Pecan Cobbler

Pillsbury Butterscotch Apple Cinnamon Crescents

Easy to make little treats perfect for Christmas morning (or any other day of the year!)

Ingredients 1 tin Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 3 diced granny smith apples 1/4 cup butter 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 cup butterscotch chips

Directions Saute the diced apples in the butter in a skillet over medium high heat for about 5 minutes until the apples are beginning to soften. Add the cinnamon and nutmeg and stir until well blended. Add the butterscotch chips and stir just until they being to melt. Remove to a medium bowl and continue to stir until the chips and butter make a smooth butterscotch sauce. Drop by the tablespoon onto the wide end of 8 crescents and roll. Brush with remaining apples and butterscotch and top with toasted almonds. Bake in a 374 oven for 8-12 minutes until puffy and golden. Serve warm.

You'll Need:

2 cups (12 ounce package) Nestle Toll House
Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 1/2 pounds tart apples, peeled and diced

Topping
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked

Procedures : Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In small bowl, combine Nestle Toll House Butterscotch Flavored Morsels, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; set aside.

Place apples in 13 x 9-inch baking pan; sprinkle morsel mixture over apples. Bake 20 minutes.

Topping: Combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in pecans and oats; sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender. Cool slightly. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Makes 10 to 12 servings
