Caramel Pie

Caramel (Dulce De Leche) Pie








Описание:

Dulche de leche is caramelized sweetened milk that is popular in may places in the world including South America.

I found this pie SUPER sweet and when I make it again I would mix some whipped cream with the canned caramel to dilute it a bit.

**Once again I will say not to let the water level drop while boiling! The cans may explode if the cans are not covered with water while cooking**

Graham Wafer Crust recipe:
1 1/2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions

Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter or margarine, and cinnamon until well blended . Press mixture into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7 minutes. Cool. If recipe calls for unbaked pie shell, just chill for about 1 hour.
For the caramel pie recipe you don't have to bake the crust, just chill it.

This is with milk. Anyway, you could, but this is cheaper and probably tastes alot better.

I also think I'd only boil one can and pipe it into tiny crust cups or filo dough cups so they are bite sized. The big pieces seem like too much for me xD

You'll Need:

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
1/2 pint whipping cream

Procedures : Cream butter or margarine, flour and brown sugar. \

Beat egg with milk and add to creamed mixture. Cook in double boiler until thick. Cool.

Fill baked pie shell with mixture. Top with whipped cream
