Alex Watson пишет: me too, i looked up her video for french macroon, maybe the best on the web. And, i never looked anywhere else for another baking demo since.

Joy of Baking пишет: Yes, they do taste like dark chocolate. While I've never made truffles with anything but dark chocolate, you could use white chocolate. You will probably have to reduce the amount of cream, though.

kamelyaros пишет: d you have napoleon dessert recipe

Joy of Baking пишет: You can use either type for the truffles.

Niniwin пишет: @JoyofBaking1 So what cocoa do is best for chocolate truffle?

Joy of Baking пишет: At room temperature they don't usually melt, although with time they do soften.

Joy of Baking пишет: Heavy Cream also can be named Heavy Whipping Cream. It is a cream with a 35% butterfat content.

Greeta Aprilia пишет: can i skip the alcohol?

Joy of Baking пишет: You could leave out the butter.

nakashimanic пишет: Do we really need to add unsalted butter ? Is it ok to not add ?

misshannaee пишет: Wikipedia says: "Their name derives from the usual shape they take as the word 'truffle' derives from the Latin word tuber, meaning "swelling" or "lump", which later became tufer." Reading on the article for truffles their name seems to come from the same origin.

Joy of Baking пишет: Yes you can cover the truffles with chocolate. You can just use melted chocolate, but tempered chocolate is the best.

B oo пишет: can u use regular milk

DisneySparrow7 пишет: A little tip (not to take away from Stephanie's lovely demonstration)- when I make truffles, I heat my cream as she has done and then when I pour it over my chocolate, I let it sit for about 2 minutes. This will melt most of the chocolate and then you can whisk the rest of it together in about 20 - 30 seconds. I get a smooth, perfect chocolate every time.

RantingAsian пишет: oh my gosh, most of the video was her mixing

Joy of Baking пишет: Some brands of chocolate chips will work and some won't. Basically if they melt down nice and smooth they are fine. If they aren't smooth then they won't work.

asha mahesh пишет: Simple superb mam

CoolCoolSkies пишет: How do you make other types of chocolate truffles? Like with say white chocolate?

Gladys Law пишет: Hi, i want to ask if can i put the same amount of vanilla extract as the alcohol?

Charlotte Sutton пишет: Ps do you need plastic wrap I have it but in wondering

Joy of Baking пишет: You could do it that way if you like.

Joy of Baking пишет: Yes if you like.

Charlotte Sutton пишет: Hey you are really the best REALY! I'm making it for mommy and daddy for v times day witch is soon coming up thankyou and pleas ripely or email xx!

MousyMelly пишет: It is because they look like truffles - real truffles....but they are called "chocolate" truffles.

Joy of Baking пишет: If you chilled the mixture and it's still soft, it must have something to do with either the chocolate or the cream. Make sure you use a heavy cream, one with a 35-40% butterfat content.

kareninablue1 пишет: hi, I would like to know if the truffles melt if you leave it at room temperature for too long

MaryE MCLea пишет: amazing

Joy of Baking пишет: There is a difference in flavor between Dutch processed cocoa powder and regular unsweetened cocoa powder. I think Dutch processed has a softer flavor. But the flavor also depends on the brand of cocoa powder.

You'll Need:

1 pkg (8 oz) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon almond-flavored liqueur
4 sq Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted
1/4 cup Planters Slivered Almonds, toasted, ground
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

Procedures : Beat cream cheese, honey and liqueur with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and almonds, cover.

Refrigerate at least 2 hr or until firm.

Roll cream cheese mixture into 24 balls, using a scant tablespoonful of the cream cheese mixture for each ball. Roll in cocoa until evenly coated. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator. Makes 24 truffles or 12 servings, 2 truffles each
