The Swedish Glögg is a hot mulled wine drink. The delicious mulled wine recipe includes red wine, spices and either brandy or vodka. Both types of alcohol gives it the warmth....perfect for cold winter evenings. It's a terrific mulled wine drink because you can personalized to taste as your own "Glögg" with either spices or alcohol. It's best to serve the mulled wine drink either warm or hot and in a clear glass mug! We enjoy scooping out the almonds and raisins from the glass mug and eating them too.

In Denmark, it is popular to have the Christmas (Jul) mulled wine drink (gløgg in Danish) with family Christmas (Jul) gatherings. Also, after we do some Christmas shopping on Strøget, we usually go to D'Angleterre Hotel for the delicious hot Jul mulled wine (gløgg) drink and æbleskive. We hope you and enjoy this Swedish Glogg mulled wine recipe for your holiday celebrations as we have over the years..
