Cinnamon Couscous Recipe








Описание:

This slightly sweet and savoury side dish is perfect to serve along side many vegetable or meat stews. Really simple it can be on the table in less than 5 minutes.

1 cup (250 mL) water or vegetable broth
⅔ cup (170 mL) coucous
¼ tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
¼ tsp (1 mL) ground ginger ¼ cup (50 mL) golden raisins

Method:
Bring water or broth, cinnamon, ginger, and raisins to boil in medium saucepan on high heat. Stir in couscous, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Fluff couscous with fork.

You'll Need:

1 1/4 cups Fantastic Foods Whole Wheat Couscous
2 cups Knudsen Organic Apple Juice
1 cup water
1 pinch Baleine Sea Salt Fine Crystals
1 tsp Whole Foods Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Frontier Organic Vanilla Extract


Procedures : Bring water and juice to a boil with a pinch of salt. Add couscous and
cinnamon. Stir and cook on low for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir
in vanilla. Let sit 10 minutes. Rinse an 8 x 8 baking dish; do
not dry. Pack couscous into the baking dish. Allow to cool before cutting
into squares.
