Apple Dapple Cake








Описание:

A delicious cake from the 70's that I know you're going to love.




CAKE
1-1/2 cups oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup buttermilk
3 cups apples, peeled and diced
1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped (I also toasted mine)

Cream the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla together for 10 minutes. Sift the dry ingredients together and add to the batter alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour. Pour into a greased and floured 10" bundt or tube pan and bake at 325 for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool completely.
ICING
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 stick butter (4 tblsp.)
1 small can evaporated milk (5 oz. or 2/3 cup of a large can)
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Boil all ingredients in a small saucepan for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let it cool until it thickens. Spoon over cooled cake. Enjoy!
You'll Need:

2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups corn oil
3 eggs
3 cups unsifted flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups finely diced apples
2 cups chopped pecans

Glaze
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 pound butter
1/2 cup heavy cream

Procedures : Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Combine sugar and oil and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and stir into egg mixture. Beat in apples, nuts and vanilla extract. Pour into a buttered springform tube pan and bake for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Combine ingredients and boil for 3 minutes. Reserving 1/3 cup, pour over the hot cake. Cool and remove from pan. Just before serving, pour remaining Glaze over
