Baked Fish Recipe with Feta Cheese

This meal is very easy to make and is very satisfying. You will end up with a moist and flaky fish with a cheese sauce. You can use any white firm flesh fish for this recipe. If you can't get Feta cheese use a fresh, salty cheese instead. Enjoy!

Here is what you are going to need for this simple and tasty recipe:

1 ½ pounds fleshy white fish such as Wahoo, Halibut, Mahi-Mahi or Catfish
2 TBS mayonnaise
2 TBS Feta cheese -- or any other white salty cheese
¼ tsp. oregano
2 lemons
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 C). Rinse and pat dry the fish and place it in an oven proof dish.

In a bowl mix together the mayonnaise, cheese and oregano. Mix well.

Squeeze one half of a lemon on the fish and sprinkle with about ¼ tsp. of salt and pepper. Spread a thin layer of cheese on top.

Flip the fish and squeeze the remaining half of lemon on the fish. Sprinkle with the remaining salt and pepper and spread the remaining cheese on top.

Slice the second lemon and place slices on top of the fish. Remove all seeds.

Place the fish in the oven and bake for 20 to 15 minutes -- depending on the thickness of the fish. If your fish is thinner then it will not take that long. Once the fish is flaky and the cheese is melted and browned on top it is ready.

Serve with a drizzle of the bottom melted cheese and extra lemon slices. This fish goes well with rice, couscous or steamed quinoa. Enjoy!

You'll Need:

* Feta cheese
* oregano
* olive oil

Procedures : Cut pieces of aluminium foil and place on each of them a piece of feta cheese (not too thick). Dredge oregano over the feta cheese, add some drops of olive oil and fold the aluminium pieces. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes
