Breakfast Apple-Citrus Compote

Apple Citrus Cider








Описание:

Apple Citrus Cider

Serves: 6 cups
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
4 cups apple juice
1 1/8 cups water
¾ cup orange juice
3 cinnamon sticks
2 tsp whole cloves
¼ cup molasses
Garnish: slices of apples with 3 cloves in each slice of apple

Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a sauce pan and place over medium heat. Strain and serve in a heat proof cup with a apple slice garnish. Enjoy!

Bonus: Add a shot of either brandy, rum or apple liquor to bring it to cocktail time. (1 shot per 6 oz of cider)

You'll Need:

2 cups peeled and sliced tart apples (about 2 medium)
1 1/2 cups (about 9-ozs.) pitted prunes
1 1/2 cups orange juice
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 naval oranges, peeled and cut into segments
2 pink grapefruit peeled and cut into segments
- mint sprigs for garnish

Procedures : In 2 to 3 quart saucepan combine apples, prunes, and orange juice; bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until apples are tender but not soft, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in honey, juice and cinnamon. Cool, cover, and chill. Stri in oranges and grapefruit. To serve, spoon fruits with their liquid into serving dishes; garnish with mint sprig
