It's because of her that I'm a vegetarian, because of how passionate she was about it, really talked me into it, and of course Paul affected me to but she's the one. How you can't become a vegetarian after listening to her talking about, then you've got to be completely nutts.

Any professional chef will tell you that you only add the dressing to a salad when you are about to eat it as it can burn the leaves. Better yet, you leave the customer to dress it to his/her taste. Same reason for which you never add salt to food as it must be the customer the one who seasons it to taste. But you have to ask qualified chefs to get this answer.

Hell yeah, Linda, get over here.

g пишет: I'm sorry but I've tried several chilli recipes and there are far better recipes out there than this one. If you feel bad about eating meat, then do the chilli omitting the vegemince altogether. You'll be far better off.
I know several of you don't agree but then it's a matter of taste.

linlyon пишет: Dont know where you get you don't add dressing to a salad. Lower class restaurants don't toss yr salad for you. \r
Any decent restaurant serves a dressed salad. Watch any cooking show, & they dress the salad in a large serving bowl. I don't know where you get yr rules from. Guest at tables don't want to dress & toss their own salads. That becomes a mess. Looking at the ingredients it's hard to imagine that it tasted horrible, as the ingredients are simple & normal. Maybe you just can't cook.

linlyon пишет: You must eat in a lot of diners and coffee shops. Those are the only places that serve undressed salad. I have NEVER been served an undress salad in any quality restaurant anywhere in this world unless I specifically asked for it. And I am constantly at top quality restaurants. And no quality chef would think of not properly seasoning food and leave it to the diner to do it on their own.

She says "herbs" the western U.S. way, which makes me feel more connected to her because I'm from the S.W.\r
I know it's silly, but it makes me happy that I have another thing to relate with her :D\r
\r
And her kitchen reminds me of home because it is S.W. style. \r
Aww, I miss her so much! :(

I also noticed she added the dressing to the salad almost at the beginning, that shows she wasn't a professional cook. You can never ever add the dressing to a salad because it ruins the leaves. It is always served on the side.
