Betty's Brown Sugar-Pecan Filled Sour Cream Coffee Cake

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a gorgeous Sour Cream Coffee Cake. It is filled and topped with a luscious mixture of brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon. Its just the best!!!
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter or margarine (1/2 pound), softened to room temperature
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 oz. carton sour cream
2 cups self-rising flour
½ cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon cinnamon
In a medium-sized bowl, cream together ½ pound butter or margarine and 2 cups sugar. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat 2 eggs, and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 8 oz. sour cream. Stir well. Add in the butter and sugar mixture, and stir until well-combined. Now, mix in 2 cups self-rising flour. Set aside, while you make your filling/topping. In a small bowl, stir together ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup chopped pecans, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spoon half of the cake batter into a well-greased and floured tube pan. Spread out evenly, and sprinkle ½ of the brown sugar-pecan filling over the top. Spoon the other half of the cake batter over the first half of batter and filling, smooth out, and top with the remainder of the brown sugar-pecan filling/topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool in the oven with the oven door open for 1 hour. Remove pan from the oven, and transfer the coffee cake from the pan to a nice cake plate (top-side-up). This is not only a beautiful coffee cake, but its taste is splendid!

The only thing I can think of is to use any extra amount of sour cream or plain yogurt, along with brown sugar, and put a lot of filling in a ring inside the cake before it is baked. I don't think it will solidify, but your cake would be done.

I'd forgotten the dog cookie vidio that you made with Remy in Febuary.\r
I've never baked anything for our dog's birthday (maybe I should).\r
Instead, I go to a local dog-boarding place where we somtimes board her, and buy a big dog cake for her there.\r
They're shaped like dogbones, and filled with peanut butter, then covered with caorob-frosting (like chocolate, only they're not poisionous to dogs), and it says "Happy birthday!" in blueberry frosting on top.\r

You'll Need:
1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
3/4 cup oil
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Streusel
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Procedures : Mix together: cake mix, pudding, oil, water and vanilla extract. Beat in eggs one at a time. Then beat mixture 6 minutes on high speed. Grease and flour Bundt pan and cover bottom with 1/2 cup pecans. Layer 1/3 batter and 1/3 streusel mix until all are used. Bake at 325 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes. Run knife around pan flip onto a serving plate. Cool 8 minutes then drizzle with icing.
Icing
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
NOTE: Even good without icing. Once I forgot the pecans on the bottom - just mixed them in the batter turned out just as good. Never last long at our house
