Pineapple Barbecue Beef

How to Make Grilled Pineapple: Noreen's Kitchen

Описание:

Greetings! Grilled pineapple is the perfect accompaniment to the grilled pork chops that we made! These would be just as delicious next to grilled chicken fish or beef or you could just have them on top of some fresh pound cake with some fresh whipped cream or ice cream and a sprinkling of flaked coconut for a fresh grilled dessert. In fact, throw the pound cake on the grill too and toast it!

When these were prepared, we placed them on the grill for one minute on the first side, turned them over and brushed them with pure maple syrup and allowed them to cook for another minute. We removed them from the grill to a plate and brushed them again with the syrup. This was simply to ensure that they had the maple flavor on both sides.

These were super delicious and we just filled the grill up with the slices and the rest we put in the fridge to eat fresh the next day.

This is a wonderful way to use up the heat from that grill besides roasting marshmallows! This could also be a good base for a grilled pineapple salsa mixed with some tomato, onion, jalapeno and cilantro.

I hope you give this a try, I know you're going to love it!

Happy Eating!

Cutting of the top
Shaving the skin
Cutting it in half
And lastly coring it.

I love you videos by the way!:)

ShalimarPerfume пишет: Oh Boy! I wish I had one of those corers right now. If you didn't have any maple syurp would a sprinkle of brown sugar be OK? The salsa is a good idea also. I betcha some canned or frozen or even grilled corn would go good in that.

Excuse my grilling ignorance, but did Rick grill these on a charcoal grill? Do the pineapple get a charcoal-ey flavor like hamburgers do? Thanks guys! Love your videos!!!!

ouidaouida пишет: Noreen, in Africa we used to make homemade pineapple ice cream and fill the empty pineapple with the frozen ice cream and place the top back on it. When dessert was served, my cook would come out with the pineapples on a tray. I could see the disappointment on our guests' faces until he removed the top and began to scoop out the delicious pineapple ice cream into individual serving bowls. What fun it was to hear them ooh and aah over that surprise ice cream treat! Recipes available online!

You'll Need:

6 pounds beef short ribs, cut into serving-size pieces
2 teaspoons salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 cup water
2 (13 ounce) jars pineapple preserves
1 cup whole cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons marmalade
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup vinegar

Procedures : Trim excess fat from ribs and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place ribs in a Dutch oven and add water. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours or until meat is tender. If necessary during cooking, add water.

Drain ribs.

Combine preserves, cranberry sauce, marmalade, chili sauce and vinegar. Brush some of the glaze mixture over the ribs. Barbecue ribs about 6 inches from coals. Brush ribs with glaze and turn frequently for 15 to 20 minutes.

Heat remaining glaze and pass with the ribs
