A Red Velvet Cake is very dramatic looking with its bright red color that is offset by a creamy white frosting. If we look beyond the striking appearance of this cake, we will find that it has a mild chocolate flavor with a moist and tender crumb. The mild chocolate flavor comes from adding a small amount of cocoa powder to the batter and buttermilk gives it a moist and tender crumb.

You'll Need:

2 eggs.
1 1/2 cups of sugar.
2 1/2 cups of plain flour.
1 cup of buttermilk.
1 bottle of red food coloring.
1 1/2 cup of cooking oil.
1 teaspoon of vinegar.
2 teaspoons of cocoa.
1 teaspoon of baking soda.

Procedures : Preheat oven to 350F. Grease three layer pans and line with double thickness of wax paper. Mix dry ingredients together. Add remaining liquid ingredients. Mix until creamy and smooth. Bake for thirty minutes
