Three Cheese Filled Manicotti - Lynn's Recipes
Описание:
A great dish for dinner any day of the week. This manicotti doesn't have any meat, but just three different kinds of cheese and some seasonings in the filling. Super easy to make!
14 pieces (8 oz.) Manicotti shells, cooked, drained and cooled
4 cups (32 oz.) Ricotta cheese
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 eggs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon fresh ground fresh pepper
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1-1/2 cups (14 oz.) spaghetti sauce
Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat oven to 350°. Spray a 13x9x2 inch baking pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, 1-1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper. Spoon into cooled pasta. Arrange filled pasta in single layer in the casserole dish. Pour spaghetti sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese. Bake 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

How many people do you think this would serve?
lynnsrecipes пишет: @metamorphicmuse - I didn't, but you can. It would make them stick together less and a little easier to work with. It would remove all the starch left on them after they are cooked.
acuik10 пишет: That's only two cheese -_-

lynnsrecipes пишет: @kevico2 - I think that would work fine. I think they would get soft enough to finish cooking in the oven. Just start that and let them sit while you are getting the rest of the dish ready to put together and make sure they are pliable.
lynnsrecipes пишет: Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and ricotta cheese. Adds up to three cheeses.
PandawdyBob пишет: Don't cook the pasta sleeves. Fill them when the sleeves are hard. Put your cheese in a plastic bag, and cut of a corner of the bag and pipe it in. Easiest way to do it. As long as your sleeves are covered in sauce, the sleeves will cook in the oven.

Those were recommendations. It's in the fridge waiting to be baked tonight. Looks great already though. Thanks for taking the fear of failure out of the equation.

You'll Need:
8 ounces manicotti shells
1/4 tsp fennel
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 tsp oregano
3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
14 ounces spaghetti sauce
Procedures : Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Cool in single layer on foil. Heat oven to 350 F. In large skillet, brown meat; drain.
Stir together meat, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, oregano, salt and pepper. Fill each cooled pasta tube with about 1/4 cup meat filling. Spread thin layer of sauce on bottom of 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish. Place filled pasta in prepared baking dish; cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Cover with foil.
Bake 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly
