mechavoom пишет: Just made this last night for some friends. They could NOT stop gushing about how good it was (by the way it tasted just as wonderful as it smelled!) and begged for a recipe multiple times. I used shrimp and chicken breast. This will be a staple meal for sure! Thank you!

I was thinking of you the other day, went to your channel.
Are you going to make more videos?
Of course I do not have 500 like you.

ClaireMarie пишет: DE-LICIOUS!

CorneliusSneedley пишет: Okay, I only discovered your channel this afternoon, and will admit I have not been watching your videos in order. However, was that an All-Clad fry pan I just saw? Not to be a cookware snob, but some of the other pans I have seen in other videos have not been nearly so, um, fancy. Did you recently do a general upgrade, or just splurge on one pan?

qtaznPnay пишет: Great recipe. Taste good too. Thanks.

RevStudios пишет: Very interesting, thank you Michael for sharing this recipe. I will try it.

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: To me the difference is Thai basil is peppery, yes you may use american basil for sure.
Thank you for your questions!

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: Thank you Arman, one day I will make you happy with your request.

nanigrlz пишет: first off i want to say thank you for all your great work, i love watching your videos. my comment to you is in regards the soy sauce you used in this video, the Aloha Brand Soy Sauce, how did you like it? the reason i ask is because i am originally from Hawaii where it is made and now that i live here in NorCal i find that the soy sauces available here are way stronger in flavor and many have a completely different taste comparing to the Aloha Brand. (which i grew up eating)

Scorpion11381 пишет: I've never had Thai Basil is it similiar to regular basil in taste?

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: The 3 thai chilies did add some heat, but I could take some more with your hot sauce if you want.
Well the Aloha Say Sauce, I imagine you know where I got that from, lol.
It was sent to me, you remember Beth don't you!

bzipper yo пишет: Yum. U make me want to make a basil fried rice with shrimp . I'm hungry.

Llovelylady1 пишет: Thank you for taking the mystery out of stir-fry you made this look so easy!. I can't wait to try it!

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: I took the veins out myself and also removed the shells etc.
I left the tails on for presentation, I think it looks nice.
Of course you can remove all the shells including the tails!
Thank you for your quesitons!

babybubblegoose пишет: yum! This was delicious. I doubled it and used Roma tomatoes because I couldn't find cherry/grape tomatoes.

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: Thanks!

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: I typically buy Kikkoman, and a very nice person from Hawaii sent me the Aloha.
You are probably going to be disappointed with my answer.
I have never paid attention to the difference, the only thing that I pay attention to is that soy sauce is naturally brewed, as that is important to me.
I just had a taste test with them, I do agree with you that the Kikkoman is a bit stronger and has more aftertaste, I do not think the difference is dramatic.
I hope you do not hate me!

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: Actual coconut, I am not allowed to eat because I have colon problems.
I would have to take the coconut off to eat it, I can have coconut milk fine, but not the actual coconut.
I will think about it and put it on a list, but if I make it, it will not be soon.
Thank you for your request!

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: Oh yes, sweet basil would be fine.
I made rice to go with this, but it turned out like crap and that has not happened to me in a long time. I did not show the rice, lol.

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: I would take the tails off.
The only reason that I left most of them on was to make it look a little prettier, in my opinion.
Thanks!

uqfod пишет: whats different about thai basil? could i use american basil?

nanigrlz пишет: Thank you for your response, and no I do not hate you. For even though I grew up on Aloha Shoyu, I do prefer Kikkoman. I think that Aloha is a bit weak for my tastes. However, i do keep a bottle on hand for marinating meats.( teriyaki sauces and for my Korean BBQ sauces ) I use it to "cut" the strength of the Kikkoman.

Michael's Home Cooking пишет: Thank you for that!

You'll Need:

4 servings

Gail's Notes: This was given to me by my friend Elaine. It is one of the most delicious shrimp recipes for the BBQ I have ever had, and it is so easy. My son would eat the whole recipe if I didn't watch him."

2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 lemons, juiced
3 tablespoons coarse grained prepared mustard
4 ounces minced fresh basil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt to taste
1 pinch white pepper
3 pounds fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

Procedures : In a shallow, non-porous dish or bowl, mix together olive oil and melted butter. Then stir in lemon juice, mustard, basil and garlic, and season with salt and white pepper. Add shrimp, and toss to coat. Cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat grill to high heat.

Remove shrimp from marinade, and thread on skewers.

Lightly oil grate, and arrange skewers on grill. Cook for 4 minutes, turning once, until done
