How to Make Yakitori (Recipe) 焼き鳥の作り方 (レシピ)
Описание:
This video will show you how to grill Yakitori (skewered chicken) with gas Yakitori grill! Of course you can use your BBQ grill!
On the weekend, there was a small festival at our residence (condo) and my darling (chef TJ) was assigned to cook Yakitori. Thanks to my darling, I did nothing but could shoot this video! I hope you like it!!!
It was very interesting to know how to become a Yakitori vendor! hehe
In the very beginning of the video, I will show you what other food stalls were there at the festival! So, please watch carefully ;D
---------------------------------
Yakitori
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: as many as you want
Necessary Equipment:
bamboo skewers
yakitori stove
Ingredients:
boneless chicken thigh (or any meat of your choice)
yakitori sauce or salt
Directions:
1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces (remove the skin if you prefer).
2. Thread chicken onto skewers (with long onion if you prefer).
3. Tare (Sauce): Begin grilling the chicken on both sides without the sauce. When the meat is done, dip into the sauce and grill lightly. However, sometimes it gets too smoky if you grill with the sauce, so we didn't grill it with the sauce but dip it into the sauce to finish. Ebara's Yakitori sauce works amazingly delicious in that way!
4. Shio (Salt): Sprinkle some salt on the chicken and grill the chicken on both sides until done.
We used Ebara Yakitori Sauce (エバラ やきとりのたれ) - for professional use.
The household use looks like this :D

ochikeron пишет: @kashido if yakitori is not only the food you are going to serve, i think it is better to stay with the good ready-made sauce. depending on how far you want to go ;D

kashido пишет: Thx Ochi for mentioning that I am looking for a Yakitori grill. I went to Japan in December 2011 and went to Kappabashi. Saw that there was alot of cooking equipments there but unfortunately because I loaded my luggage with other souvenirs already. Next time I go, I'll pack less to make room for the grill. Also I am in the market for a Takoyaki grill also.....will definitely go over my weight capacity for my luggages.
By the way. Haven't seen you do a Takoyaki recipe video yet. Can u do one?
Mystrich пишет: Mmm, my town (here in America) has a Japanese festival with its sister city and I got to have Yakitori there. I'm glad you have a recipe posted for it, as all your food looks delicious.

junkateria пишет: Mmmmm, Ochi, those looked yummy. Your Darling, TJ, is handsome. You guys must make a really cute couple! But I'm dying to know: what happened with the contest. I voted a few times. It was easy once I got the hang of it. They made it really complicated, though. Did you win?
His Imperious Condescension пишет: In festivals you need to have the food ready within minutes because if the customer waits they will be unhappy. So if they did it fresh they would have taken longer. Yes using fresh food would have been nice. But for the fact of it being fast and people don't want to wait around they had to substitute and use pre-made ones. But still if they was in a restaurant they would use fresh and make it themselves but they have to give it out to people within minutes not 10-20 minutes, simple has that.
ochikeron пишет: @princekhun thank you :D
ninjasrule пишет: Hello there!! , and i liked the song you played, but i can't find it online, and i found it on amazon, but i have to pay and i'm still a student >.< I was wondering if you could send it to me? I really like the song!
