BAL discovered this gem on the road to Austin from LA. Make sure anytime you drive east into Austin and pass through adorable town of Fredericksburg TX you stop here for pie!!!! We LOVE not only the pie here, but the healthy delicious sandwiches, paninis, coffee drinks and smoothies here, too!!! Tootie Pie Co officially rocks!

You'll Need:

1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
3 rounded tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Nutmeg, to taste
Cinnamon, to taste

Procedures : Mix flour, sugar and salt; add to butter. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix and pour into pie shell; sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. Test with knife. It should come out clean when pie is done
