This is probably the world's easiest peach cobbler recipe. All ingredients are mixed into one bakerware dish eliminating lengthy clean up. Easy to follow instructions. No fancy ingredients or complicated preparations. This is an excellent pot luck dish. Everyone will love this sweet treat. If you make this you are sure to come back for more. What I like about this is that you don't have to be able to "bake" to prepare this. I get tons of requests for this whenever we have some type of get together at church or work. Everyone who has tried this recipe ends up saying it's one of their favorites. My late mother in law taught me this recipe. What a wonderful woman she was. Always helping me with my children when they were young. I miss her. I'm glad her peach cobbler recipe lives on. I know it would make her so happy to know that others were enjoying this sweet treat. : )

You'll Need:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup self-rising flour
2 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 cup milk
4 cups peaches, sliced
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon lemon extract
Procedures : Combine peaches and 1 cup sugar. Add spices and bring to a boil. Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, and milk. Mix well and pour over melted butter. Do not stir! Pour peaches and sugar mixture over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown crust has formed
